OSG Strategy Review

On Wednesday the 1stof November the OneSchool Global Team, along with members of the OneSchool Board & Regional COOs, reviewed OneSchool’s Vision, Mission and Strategy.

The primary objective of this exercise was to achieve two things. Firstly, to review and refresh OSG’s progress as a reflection point given our (almost) two-year journey into our five-year strategic plan to 2020, and b) to ensure that our direction and progress to date still maintains its relevance. In short, we considered the exercise as a vital health check on the organisation and its progress toward realising its Vision.

Given a relatively newly formed global leadership team, the Strategy Review provided a fantastic opportunity to unpack the Vision and Mission of OneSchool and apply some healthy rigor to how our global activities should deliver on the strategic intent of the organisation.

Led and facilitated by Yasmin Chiu, Human Capital Principal at Heidrick & Struggles Australia, attendees were able to participate freely in both small work groups and a wider collective forum. For many this was the first time that members of the Global Team were able to work alongside our Board’s Directors, and special key guests. Likewise, we were blessed with fortuitous timing to have our five regional Chief Operating Officers also in attendance representing our schools across Australia, New Zealand & Argentina, North America & the Caribbean, Europe and the UK.

OSGs Vision, Mission and Strategy, along with a high-level view of potential supporting processes to deliver on the strategy, were revisited and purpose reviewed. These areas, and ideas from the day, are now in the process of being collated and a working party assigned to critique and polish these areas further in preparation for final sign-off before being rolled out.

The energy and progress of the day was exciting and some much-needed strategic clarity was achieved. We look forward to sharing this with the wider school, staff and students once ready.
